1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the ASN Lab website (asnlab.org) and any of our software products, including the ASN.1 Development Tools and Compilers (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

2. License Types

2.1 Evaluation License

We offer a 30-day evaluation license (“Free Trial”) at no cost. The evaluation license is provided for the sole purpose of evaluating the software for potential purchase. It is limited to a single user, non-transferable, and may not be used for production or commercial purposes.

2.2 Purchased License

Upon successful payment, you receive a perpetual license for the selected compiler products. Each license is:

  • Per-user: Licensed to a single named individual. Sharing, transferring, or reselling the license is prohibited.
  • Per-product: Covers the specific compiler products (C, C++, Java, C#, Go) selected at the time of purchase.
  • Non-transferable: Licenses are issued to the named purchaser and may not be transferred, sublicensed, or assigned to another party without our prior written consent.

2.3 License Delivery

Licenses are delivered as PKCS#12 (.p12) credential files to the email address provided at the time of purchase, along with a time-limited download link (valid for 24 hours). It is your responsibility to provide accurate contact information and to download and securely store your license files promptly.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Pricing

All prices are listed on our website and are subject to change without notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time of purchase.

3.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By placing an order, you agree to Stripe’s terms of service. We do not store your full payment method details on our servers.

3.3 Refunds

Due to the nature of digital license products, all sales are final. Refunds are not provided after the license file has been delivered. If you encounter technical issues preventing license use, please contact our support team for assistance.

4. License Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the software.
  • Share, lease, rent, or sublicense your license credentials to any third party.
  • Use the software in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Remove or obscure any proprietary notices or labels on the software.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent license validation mechanisms.

5. License Validation

The compiler software may periodically validate your license with our licensing server. This validation transmits:

  • Your certificate serial number.
  • The product identifier of the compiler in use.
  • An optional machine fingerprint.

This information is used exclusively for license compliance verification and anti-piracy purposes. See our Privacy Policy for more details on how this data is handled.

6. Intellectual Property

All software, documentation, content, logos, trademarks, and materials provided through the Services are the exclusive property of ASN Lab and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your license grants you the right to use the software; it does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.

7. Software Updates and Support

7.1 Updates

Purchased licenses include access to software updates for the major version purchased. We may release updates, bug fixes, and improvements at our discretion. We are not obligated to provide updates for any specific duration.

7.2 Support

Technical support is provided via email at sales@asnlab.org. We strive to respond to inquiries in a timely manner but make no guarantees regarding response times.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The Services are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • ASN Lab shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Services, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business, or loss of profits.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the license(s) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services, including revoking your license, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the software ceases immediately, and you must destroy all copies of the software and license files in your possession.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through negotiation in good faith, followed by mediation or arbitration if necessary.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
